The unit deployed to Iraq in its new capacity in late 2005.

In January 2008 the brigade deployed to Afghanistan a second time as part of Operation Enduring Freedom and as the Joint Logistics Command – Afghanistan supported over 55,000 U.S. personnel, coalition forces and civilians.
