Private First Class Shane Gregory Wilson
Private First Class Shane Gregory Wilson, 20, of Kuna, Idaho, died October 18, in Khost, Afghanistan.
Wilson was an Infantry Rifleman assigned to Choppin Company, 3rd Battalion, 187th Infantry Regiment, 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault), Fort Campbell, Ky.
He enlisted in the United States Army in 2011 and attended Basic Combat Training at Fort Benning, Georgia, as an Infantryman.
PFC Wilson arrived at Fort Campbell in April 2012. He participated in the unit's Joint Readiness Training Center Rotation, a squad and platoon live fire, and multiple situational training exercises. PFC Wilson deployed in support of Operation Enduring Freedom 12-13 with TF Iron Rakkasan in September 2012.
PFC Wilson's awards and decorations include the National Defense Service Medal, Afghan Campaign Medal with Campaign Star, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, the North Atlantic Treaty Organization Medal, and the Army Service Ribbon. Wilson is survived by his mother Danielle DeMarco, his sister Sydney Demarco, both of Kuna, Idaho, and his father Gregory Wilson of Tigard, Oregon. |

Specialist Patricia Lee Horne
Spc. Patricia Lee Horne, 20, of Greenwood, Miss., died Aug. 24, in a non combat related incident, in Bagram, Afghanistan.
Spc. Patricia Lee Horne, 20, of Greenwood, Miss., was a Human Resource Specialist assigned to the 96th Aviation Support Battalion, 101st Combat Aviation Brigade, 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault). She joined the Army in Aug. 2010 and arrived Fort Campbell in January 2011.
Her awards and decorations include the Army Service Ribbon, NATO Medal, Afghanistan Campaign Medal, National Defense Service Medal and the Global War on Terrorism Service Medal.
